Infineon has launched the TDA235E5 and TDA235E0, a new dual-phase smart power stage family aimed at the growing power delivery needs of AIartificial intelligence accelerators and vertical power modules. The company positions the parts as a response to the rising current demand of AIartificial intelligence infrastructure, where electrical performance and package size are becoming increasingly tightly coupled.

Both lateral and vertical power delivery configurations are supported. Infineon also highlights the thermal path from junction to top side, which is designed to support liquid cooling integration when air-cooled thermal headroom is no longer sufficient.
According to Infineon, the new power stages are intended to work with the company’s digital multiphase controllers as part of a scalable multi-rail approach for AIartificial intelligence server platforms. The devices are part of a broader power delivery chain that spans from the grid interface to processor core rails. Engineering samples of the TDA235E5 and TDA235E0 are available now.
