Rambus has unveiled CryptoManager Root of Trust, a hardware security and orchestration solution aimed at production data center and AIartificial intelligence SoCs. The company positions it as a way to add dedicated hardware-level protection together with software integration components for deployment in enterprise environments.

CryptoManager works alongside an unmodified open-source Caliptra Project core and mediates interactions between that core, the host processor, and other SoC components.
The platform is interoperable with Caliptra, the open-source silicon root-of-trust framework originally started in the Open Compute Project and now developed within the CHIPS Alliance. According to the company, the solution is designed for platform-wide awareness, including security monitoring, policy enforcement, secure lifecycle management, and coordinated protection of critical system resources.
CryptoManager supports classical, post-quantum, and regional cryptographic algorithms and includes protections against side-channel and fault-injection attacks. Rambus also cites certification support for standards such as FIPS 140-3 and SESIP.
