GlobalFoundries and Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) have announced a long-term manufacturing agreement that will move MPS’s proprietary process technology into GF’s advanced 300 mm facility in Singapore. The partnership is intended to expand capacity for power management solutions and is scheduled to support volume production in early 2027.

The companies say the initial output will include next-generation power solutions for automotive architectures, industrial robotics and automation, as well as smart power stages for AIartificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. GF states that the collaboration combines its manufacturing scale with MPS’s process technology to serve markets where power efficiency and supply assurance are important requirements.

MPS describes its technologies as focused on high-performance, ultra-efficient power management solutions for data center, automotive, consumer and industrial applications. The agreement extends that technology into a high-volume manufacturing environment at GF’s Singapore site, which the companies position as a key step for scaling these products.

For GF, the deal adds another long-term customer partnership in power semiconductors. For MPS, it provides additional manufacturing capacity for proprietary power solutions as demand grows across electrification and AIartificial intelligence-related applications. Both companies explicitly link the agreement to higher-volume delivery, global scale and more stable supply.
